Ideas of the heart

Have you ever had an idea pop into your head and it just will not go away? I mean, it sticks there, calling to you, keeping you up at night, making you doodle during meetings. That kind of idea?

Well, I have one. Actually two. They will not let go of my brain even though I have other things to do. I LOVE that! I am very much looking forward to the weekend when I can gather up my materials and spend the day at my favorite coffee shop/bookstore the Tattered Cover. I plan to spend as much of the day as possible working on bringing these two new ideas to fruition and showing you all the results. Watch for some new pictures of these designs later next week.

What kind of crafty ideas do you have that, given the time, you would like to try out?

Leather and silver on my mind.

At the last show I participated in, WAY back in August, I was very successful with my new Metro line, which is made of leather cord and silver beads. So successful in fact, that I suddenly realized this morning that I had none left! I have another show at the Littleton Olde Towne Market on September 12th, which, (thumbs through her date book) is right around the corner.

I guess I had better get crackin! I have all sorts of new ideas and different colored leather cord to work with. I am excited to be able to focus on these and will post some of them here to show you, and of course I will get them up on the Plum Cow web site real soon.

Holy cow!

I have an observation. Putting up a new, fancy smancy web site is sort of like having a baby. No matter what, the best laid plans go right out the window when the event actually happens.

I have been so absorbed in the care and feeding, or the making and selling of jewelry that I have completely ignored the housekeeping. No pictures of what I have been busy doing, no fascinating blog posts, nothing. Well, that is going to change, right here and right now.

I am cleaning the house this weekend, dusting the windows off so that you may see into my crazy world of creative jewelry making. There are ideas rolling around in my head and I cannot wait to show them to you. I also want to share the work of other designers that I meet and maybe even start taking pictures of their workspaces, a sidebar project of interest for me.

Ok, well I had better get back to burping the baby! I promise, I will be in touch!
